I’ve been thinking for awhile about buying a bird. I really like the idea of having a little pet. A dog would be preferable, but I’m not close to the kind of life that would support that yet. 

I’ll probably get a cockatiel, on the advice of a bird-owning friend. Mel and I went to a pet store the other day just to look and there was a lovely bird there (can’t remember the breed, unfortunately). It wasn’t the prettiest in terms of colour, but it seemed friendly and fun.
